Being involved in a rear-end crash can sometimes be a minor incident that results in momentary frustration, or it could be a serious event with devastating outcomes. A car accident that occurs because a driver does not stop in time or due to other factors could potentially result in an individual or individuals losing their lives. In such cases, seeking compensation may be worth considering.
It was recently reported that a fatal accident took place in Georgia. The incident involved a pickup truck and another vehicle in the northbound lanes of Interstate 185. The second vehicle was traveling at a high speed when it collided with the rear of the pickup truck. It was unclear what factors -- if any -- may have contributed to the crash other than speed.
The incident caused the driver of the pickup truck to suffer fatal injuries. He was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to those injuries. He was reported as being 77 years old. It was not mentioned whether the driver of the other vehicle suffered any injuries. It was also not clear whether any charges had been filed in relation to the fatal accident.
These types of crashes are undoubtedly difficult for surviving loved ones to process. They may question how someone they loved could be taken from them so suddenly and how they will be able to move forward after the event. The family members of the man killed in this Georgia car accident may be facing similar dilemmas. If they wish to seek some form of justice, they may wish to consider filing a civil claim for wrongful death against the driver considered at fault in order to seek compensation.
